Flash MX Tutorial and max tutorial
Flash MX isn’t the name of some comic super hero or a well known rapper. It is the standard interactive animation platform of the web. The Flash platform is really just a standard displaying animation. To view a flash file you need the flash player and to create animations you need Macromedia Flash. Flash really became popular with Flash 5 and Flash MX. Now Flash MX 7 and Flash 8 are the ones stealing the show. Flash MX is still in wide use on the web today.
Learning flash can be difficult to the novice. There are many terms such as vector animation, action script, tweening, and SWF that can be difficult to decipher. Many people get lost and frustrated. They eventually give up trying to learn the program. To help avoid this I have made a list of good sites to aid in learning flash, max tutorial. This list is not intended to be comprehensive; it is just a starting place to branch out from.
Flash-MX.com
This site is geared toward the hard-core developer. It is a little difficult to read with the gray and white background and the white text. However, the content is good and it does have some good Flash MX tutorials for all levels of flash developer. If you are a complete novice I wouldn’t worry about spending much time here.
Developingwebs.net
Developing webs is not strictly dedicated to Flash but they have a good repertoire of Flash MX tutorials. They are very easy to follow and to read. Most of them are very practical and useful. They focus on the simpler and more basic features of Flash MX. The Halloween tutorial is a personal favorite of mine.
Kirupa.com
Kirupa.com has an entire archive of Flash MX tutorials. They all have examples to show you what you are going to create. max tutorialThey also have all the finished files both in .fla format and .swf format. I really like the look and feel of their site. Their tutorials are great for the beginner up to the intermediate user.

Comics Comics by Beasley, Erich Edition ILL, 0 $20.49 Erich Beasley likes to laugh, and he likes to laugh with the comedians that make him laugh. Comics’ Comics is the result of Beasley’s pursuit to meet his favorite stand-up comedians and hair-brained actors and have them draw an off-the-cuff cartoon in his journal. The illustrations run the gamut of the comedy spectrum, from base and slightly offensive to drop-dead funny and downright strange. Some of these comedians seem to be practiced illustrators, while others seem barely literate. Along with every illustration, Beasley has included a photograph of these comedians in the their natural habitats—backstage at clubs, usually late at night—as well as brief anecdotes about approaching these people with his strange but sincere request: Will you draw me something funny?   With original illustrations from the likes of Jeff Garlin, David Cross, Janeane Garofalo, Andy Dick, Robert Smigel, Molly Shannon, Eugene Mirman, Jim Breuer, Max Brooks, Rob Cantrell, Julia Sweeney, Monty Python’s Terry Jones and many, many more, this book is sure to appeal to fans of comedy and celebrity.  |
