why did my computer screen get super bright the next day?

Okay, well my computer screen just totally went bright when i opened it the next day and i can’t fix it. I’ve looked up a few things online, but it keeps on saying to adjust my monitor screen buttons when that’s not working for me. Help please?

First you need to determine if the problem is your display card or your monitor. Put a different monitor on your computer, and see if it makes any difference. Also, drive the monitor with a different computer.

It’s possible that your graphics display card got fried, but it is also possible that your monitor is having problems. At the very least, you can be sure to repair/replace the correct unit.

Super bright usually means the contrast or brightness is off. If the screen buttons aren’t working for you, then it’s more likely to be the display card. Reboot the system. Make sure your cables are seated correctly. Replace the video cables if possible.
